The Canute Homes Story
“The goal of affordable housing set me on a journey of exploring materials, designs and manufacturing processes”
– D. F. Padamadan
Canute Homes was founded in 2024 with the goal of finding solutions to the global housing crisis. For building contractors, there is a logistical minefield of labour allocation and material purchase for every housing project. Often times the period of building a house extends over months, which is long enough to see increase in prices of some of the materials.
A house is often a big investment. There is a tall order in terms of capital for someone buying their first house. Many first time home owners settle for a smaller space from this pressure. New builds are time consuming, require extended cash outlays and often experience budget increase along the way.
At Canute Homes we adopted the priorities of instant erection of a building on a prepared site. This reduces months of labour involved for conventional buildings to a day or two for Canute buildings. All the prefabricated sections are delivered together. So there is no risk of budget variations from a linear purchase of raw materials over a prolonged build period. Your budget determined on the day of placing the order stays the same till delivery and completion of the building. All that is left after the erection of the building are the finishing touches. For example; our walls already have electrical wiring channels, are already surface finished, etc. Learn More
Once we identified fibreglass, it became increasingly clear that it is not only one of the strongest materials known to man, but it is also lighter. The next challenge was design. Our design focuses on hermetic sealing, ease of installation, durability, seismic resistance, sound proofing, thermal insulation, etc. Paul and Dee founded the company to begin pre-production of these modular housing panels in 2024. In early 2026, the first deliveries on preorders will begin. So this is our story.
Our manufacturing is our strength. Currently all our design and manufacturing are in the United Kingdom.
